Atal Medical & Research University, Himachal Pradesh is the counselling authority for Conducting MBBS/ BDS Counselling and Admission Process in 85% Seats in All Government Medical and Dental Colleges and 100% Seats of Self Financing Private Medical and Dental Colleges of Himachal Pradesh for NEET UG 2026 Qualified Students.

The authority has also released the Himachal Pradesh MBBS/ BDS prospectus for Government Quota Seats, Management/ NRI Quota Seats which can be downloaded from the above official websites. The last date to fill the application form of Himachal Pradesh MBBS/ BDS  is (Date not Announced) and  the due date to submission of receipt is (Date not Announced) . The remaining 15% seats in all Government Medical and Dental colleges Counselling and admissions will be done by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on the basis of marks obtained in NEET UG under All India Quota.

Based on the NEET marks released by NTA filled in the application form, the authority will release the Himachal Pradesh MBBS merit list containing the names of eligible aspirants, state merit rank, roll number, category and NEET marks scored. Candidates who are shortlisted in the state merit list will be called for Himachal Pradesh MBBS/ BDS counselling conducted in online mode by Atal Medical & Research University, Himachal Pradesh. HIMACHAL PRADESH MBBS IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• The online submission of application form for admission to MBBS/ BDS Degree Courses in Himachal Pradesh Government Medical / Dental Colleges, Government seats in Self- Financing Medical / Dental Colleges affiliated to the Himachal Pradesh University and ESIC Medical College-Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Mandi (ESIC) can be accessed from the following official websites:, https://amruhp.ac.in/

• The admissions in the State of Himachal Pradesh are as per the provisions of the Government of Himachal Pradesh and in compliance to the amendment to section 10(D) of Indian Medical Council of Act, 1956 presently superseded by the Board of Governors in Supersession of Medical Council of India and section 10(D) of Dental Council of India Act, 1948 and the orders of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, the eligibility for admission to MBBS / BDS Degree Courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG ).

• As per Clause 1(c) of the NEET Information Bulletin 2025 issued by the National Testing Agency, the reservation of the seats in Medical / Dental Colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in State of Himachal Pradesh.

• From the total number of MBBS / BDS seats available in the Government Medical / Dental Colleges, 15% of the seats are surrendered to All India Quota and the remaining 85% of seats are allotted to State Quota for the academic year 2025-2026 whereas in Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Mandi (ESIC) , the Government has sanctioned an annual intake of 120 students of which 36 seats earmarked for the wards of ESIC Employees' State Insurance Corporation members who are contributing to the Insurance Fund, which will be done ahead of All category counselling.

• Seat sharing with Self-Financing Medical / Dental Colleges will be as per State Policy and Medical Council of India / Dental Council of India regulations and applicable court orders.

Candidates should submit their filled in online application form after uploading the details in the required fields. (Refer Prospectus). The cost of application form of Rs.Online Application Fee Details:  For General/NRI OBC & Other Categories: 2000  For SC/ST/Persons with Disability (PwD) Categories: 1000

The last date for submission of online application form will be upto 5:00 P.M. on (Date not Announced). Thereafter there is no provision for the candidates to submit their online application form.

Step 2: Upload Documents

• You’ll Be Prompted To Upload The Following Documents:
  • Recent Color Photograph With A White Background (15kb-100kb), Dimention of the photograf should be 150 pixel width and 200 pixels height in jpg/ jpeg formet.
  • Signature On White Paper With Blue/Black Ink (4kb-100kb), Dimention of the photograf should be 150 pixel width and 100 pixels height in jpg/ jpeg formet.
  • Other Relevant Documents (E.G., Category Certificates, Qualification Certificates) As A Single PDF File (Size Not Exceeding 500 KB).
  • PDF format of Certificates The following certificates in PDF format should be kept ready and the same must be uploaded in the application portal. This is mandatory for all candidates.
  • Class X Certificate Candidate’s Class X (SSLC) Certificate is mandatory and to be uploaded in the online application.
  • Proof for Nativity Birth Certificate/SSLC Certificate/Passport showing the candidate’s place of birth. For details of other documents as Nativity Proof, see Prospectus Clause 6.1.1.
  • Proof for Date of Birth PDF format of date of birth proof must be uploaded in the application portal. 

Step 3: Preview Uploaded Images

• After Uploading, Preview The Uploaded Images.
• Ensure That Your Photograph And Signature Are Clearly Visible In The Appropriate Spaces.
• If The Images Are Not Satisfactory, You Can Re-Upload Them Following The Same Procedure.
• Confirm That The Spaces For Photograph And Signature Are Not Swapped.

Step 4: Declaration And Final Submission

• Review All Filled Information.
• If All Details Are Correct, Select The ‘Declaration’ Checkbox.
• Click On The Final SUBMIT Button.
• After Submission, An Application/Registration Number Will Be Generated.

NEET UG Cut Off 2025:- 

Himachal Pradesh has total 07 Medical Colleges offering MBBS Course and accepting NEET UG as on june 2025 among these 6 are Government Medical Colleges and 1 is private Medical College. Himachal Pradesh has total  870  MBBS Seats available in all Medical Colleges, among these 720 MBBS Seats available in Government  Medical Colleges and 150 MBBS Seats available in Private Medical Colleges. Among these 720 MBBS Seats In Government Medical Colleges 108 MBBS Seats goes to Under All India Quota and 592 MBBS Seats goes to State Government Quota and 20 MBBS Seats goes to NRI Quota. Among these 150 MBBS Seats in Private Medical College, 38 MBBS Seats goes to State Government, 30 MBBS Seats goes to Group-A  Reserved Category Under  Management  Quota, 65 MBBS Seats goes to Group-B Un Reserved Category Under Management Quota and 17 MBBS Seats goes to Under NRI Quota.

In NEET UG 2024, a total of 20,447 candidate from Himachal Pradesh registered, out of which 19,837 appeared for the exam. Among them 12,096 students qualified in NEET UG-2024. So in Himachal Pradesh NEET UG 2024 Qualified percentage was 60.98%.

Compared to NEET UG 2019, where the qualification percentage in Himachal Pradesh was 63.28% (8,003 qualified out of 12,646 appeared), the NEET UG 2024 qualification percentage has dropped to 60.98% (12,098 qualified out of 19,537 appeared). This indicates a slight decline in the qualification rate over the years.

• For Govt. Institutions :

Newly admitted students must pay their fees in full within the prescribed period, which will be notified by the College office. No student’s name will be enlisted in attendance register unless he/she has paid the prescribed fees. The seat of the student, who does not pay the fees within the prescribed period, shall be declared vacant and filled by admitting another candidate on the waiting list.

Types of Himachal Pradesh NEET 2025 Cutoff

Himachal Pradesh MBBS cutoff  2025  for Government  and Private Medical  Colleges  can be classified in  following  Quotas:

For Government Medical Colleges : All Government Medical Colleges have  two types of Cutoffs

1. 15% All India Quota Cutoff: The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of MCC releases the  Himachal Pradesh All India Quota MBBS  cutoff  college-wise and category-wise  in online mode for the students selected under 15% All India Quota seats.

2. 85% State Quota Cutoff: The Government of Himachal Pradesh Department of Medical Education & Research will be regulatory body releases the Himachal Pradesh State Quota MBBS Cutoff college-wise, category-wise  in online mode for the students selected under 85% State Quota Seats. (including Govt. seat in NRI category).

For Private  Medical Colleges : All Private  Medical Colleges have three types of Cutoffs

1. 50% State Quota Cutoff: Government of Himachal Pradesh Department of Medical Education & Research will be regulatory body releases the Himachal Pradesh  MBBS State Quota Cutoff  college-wise, category-wise  in online mode for the students selected under 50% State Quota Seats.

2. 35% Management Quota Cutoff: Government of Himachal Pradesh Department of Medical Education & Research will be regulatory body releases the Himachal MBBS Management Quota Cutoff college-wise, category-wise  in online mode for the students selected under 35%  Management Quota Seats.

3. 15% NRI Quota Cutoff: Government of Himachal Pradesh Department of Medical Education & Research will be regulatory body releases the Himachal Pradesh MBBS NRI Quota Cutoff  college-wise, category-wise  in online mode for the students selected under 15%  NRI Quota Seats.
